Libido increasing and decreasing products

As you may know, there are certain types of foods which can lead to a higher libido. But in this way there are also products who achieve the exact opposite. I went looking for you which products are and aren't good and I came up with the following list!

The list of LIBIDO INCREASING foods starts with one of my least favourite ones:
Asparagus
The asparagus is rich in Potassium and Calcium, valuable substances that stimulate hormone production and increase your energy. The present vitamin E stimulates the blood flow to your region down under.

Celery
Long ago the Romans ascribed aphrodisiac powers to celery. They used the vegetable is frequent in various dishes. They proved to be right, because celery is packed with pheromones Androstenone and Androstenol, which appears to appeal to women.

Chicken
For regulating your libido and your lust, you need to have the right level testosterone. Chicken contains Zinc and vitamin B6, both essential to the production of testosterone.

Dark chocolate
Chocolate is not only libido increasing, but scientists at the University Hospital of Cologne have shown that dark chocolate also reduces high blood pressure. And that can help men with impotence problems. Flavonoids in cocoa help to produce Nitric oxide, a chemical substance that helps the blood vessels in your penis to relax. This ensures a better blood supply and as a consequence a better erection.

Garlic
Garlic is a very potent aphrodisiac. It contains the powerful ingredient allicin, which increases blood flow and your libido. Too bad the smell chases us away :P

Oysters
A well-known aphrodisiac, and rightly so: oysters contain lots of Zinc, an important component for the production of testosterone. Besides oysters also makes sure that certain sex hormones are produced.

Pomegranate
According to the International Journal of Impotence Research, pomegranate is a medicine for erectile dysfunction. Scientists believe this is due to the powerful antioxidants in pomegranate juice, which help prevent nasty free radicals from disrupting the circulation.

Watermelon
Did you know that eating a watermelon can have the same effect as Viagra? This is thanks to the amino acids Arginine and Citrulline, which promote the production of nitric oxide, a compound that relaxes blood vessels in the body. Viagra works the same way.

The LIBIDO DECREASING products:
Alcohol
Many people take a glass for some more confident and to be uninhibited. Although that can be cozy in bed, alcohol can also have bad effects. Too much alcohol can reduce your libido significantly. In men it can even severely decrease testosterone production. So don't go all the way to the bottom of your glass!

Coffee
It can be difficult to get through the day without your daily dose of caffeine. Too much coffee may cause damage to your adrenal glands, which normally cause your body to "de-stress". In case of damage you possible experience to much stress, which in turn can provide a lower libido. So no Coke and no coffee..

Soda
A recent American study shows that drinking (diet) soda may be related to depression. Furthermore, it seems that soda drinkers have a higher risk of diabetes, cavities, dehydration, extreme obesity, bone density loss and difficulties in sexual matters. Maybe a cola'tje less?

Soup out of a can
A can of soup seems a healthy meal choice but alas. This soup contains lot of salt and low potassium. This combination can decrease your blood flow to certain parts of the body. And of course that is not what you want for your region down under!

Soya
Monks around the world eat and drink a lot of soy, because they believe that it lowers your libido. They could well be right. Soy contains Phytoestrogens, which may disturb the hormonal balance in men and women. Consequence: "just not tonight darling '.

Sweetener
You may think you're being healthy with 'sugar-free' products but alas. Manufacturers fill these products with sweeteners such as Aspartame, which suppresses the production of serotonin, which can disrupt your libido. Sweeteners also have influence on the production of dopamine, a hormone that is also very important for a healthy libido.
